Mitch has now installed a 455 CI. block bored out to 472 CI. He has improved the performance from a 13.64 second quarter mile with the 400 CI. engine, to a 12.60 second quarter mile with the 472 CI. engine.

The engine has ported heads, roller cam, roller lifters, and roller (1.62) rockers, 9.5/1 compression. Notice the rare Pontiac HO exhaust manifolds. The GTO has a turbo 400 transmission with a shift kit and high stall converter plus a Hurst shifter. The restoration is nearly complete, the engine is about to be installed and the GTO brought to life.
